For the Neighborhood Growth Grants Program, eligible businesses must operate from a physical, brick and mortar storefront within the service area. As a result, food trucks, caterers, and similar businesses that operate from a shared commercial kitchen are generally not eligible. However, they may be eligible if they also maintain a publicly accessible location, such as a storefront, stall within a food hall or market or other space where customers can visit and conduct business.
Businesses may be deemed ineligible at the discretion of the nonprofit administrator or funding sponsor if the business, its owners, or its operations are found to engage in fraudulent, deceptive, discriminatory, or unlawful conduct, or otherwise pose material reputational, legal, or compliance risk to the nonprofit or funding sponsor.
